Principle
Lithium dodecyl sulfate is a commonly used reagent for biological research. It is used as a protein denaturant and nuclease inhibitor in the Viral Sampling Kit, which can inactivates viruses. But the integrity of viral nucleic acid will not be affected in this process. Therefore, it is beneficial to the procedure of nucleic acid extraction and analysis but is not suitable for viral culture.
